It is certainly more challenging for youth who do not have the economic, familial or social supports that can assist them to overcome the many challenges on their journey to self-sufficiency and independence. - My family doctor diagnosed me with kidney problems and I just started dialysis. My kidney doctor said he often takes over care for diabetes, high blood pressure and other issues. But should I continue to see my family doctor for these issues?
