Innovations in public health

On August 7, 2010, Dr. Barbara Rimer will join YOUR HEALTH to discuss innovations to improve public health.

Dr. Rimer is Dean and Alumni Distinguished Professor at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. She is the author of over 260 publications and has received numerous awards, including the Director’s Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She currently is Vice-Chair for the Task Force on Community Preventive Services at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and she was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2008.
