Will a Dose of Chocolate a Day Really Keep the Doctor Away?

For all the chocolate lovers out there who are wondering if there is a positive correlation between chocolate and your health…this is not the final word, but it is another step. Here you go.

A study just released looks at whether getting a “dose” of chocolate every day, 50- 100 grams or 2-4 ounces, lowers your chances of heart disease.  The authors looked at over 30,000 women for over ten years.  The study showed substantial reductions in stroke.  These same results, if proven with a pill, would really be very significant.  Perhaps we admit we don’t give enough credit to chocolate.  But at the same time it would be great to see a randomized, controlled trial look at this more closely…so don’t get too excited just YET chocolate lovers!
